The "Incorruptible" tyrant dies - July 28, 1794
Soon after the execution of Georges Danton, the French public realized that, in reality, the mass executions of Robespierre were not actually helping the Third Estate. Soon, the National Convention members, the sans culottes, and even the Jacobins began to question Robespierre's motives. They demanded a punishment for his questionable deeds. Soon later, Robespierre's house was raided, and he was shot in a struggle to force him out of the house. The next day, on July 28, 1794, Robespierre was executed in front of the jeering French crowd, in, fittingly, the same way that thousands of others were during his "Reign of Terror".
